Supplier Code of Conduct:

Introduction

STOCKMEIER France, a leader in the distribution of chemicals, additives and ingredients for human and animal nutrition in France, values service, quality, safety and respect for the environment.
STOCKMEIER France pays particular attention to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and recognises its importance in the success of the company, and in maintaining the trust of its customers, shareholders, employees, as well as all of its stakeholders.

STOCKMEIER France’s CSR commitment is a voluntary approach to highlight the social, environmental and economic aspects of its activities.
STOCKMEIER France is a member of UFCC (Union Française du Commerce Chimique), a member of the “Responsible Care®” Chemical Industry initiative for the protection of the environment and, as such, is highly involved in improving safety, and in protecting people’s health and the environment.
STOCKMEIER France employs an efficient management system supported by indicators and regular reviews or audits, together with the implementation of improvement actions in all areas of the company’s activities. Decisions are made according to established responsibilities. STOCKMEIER France utilises a regulatory monitoring system for the various company areas of activity (e.g., labour code, occupational health and safety, environment, products, etc.).

As an extension of the deployment of its CSR strategy, STOCKMEIER France expects its suppliers to commit to supporting said strategy on the basis of the following principles:

 

  • Integrity and fairness of practices;
  • Human, labour and social rights;
  • Respect for the environment;
  • Intellectual property and information and data safety.

Integrity and loyalty of practices

To fulfill social commitments, suppliers must conduct their activities ethically,
loyally, and act with complete integrity, which includes the following commitments:

< strong>Corporate Integrity

Suppliers must not engage in or tolerate any form of corruption, influence peddling
extortion or fraud. They must not offer gifts or any other advantage likely to improperly influence business partners.

Conflicts of interest

Suppliers undertake to prevent and avoid any situation that could create conflicts of interest.

Free competition

Suppliers must engage in fair competition, in compliance with
competition law.

Human, labour and social rights

Suppliers must respect their employees’ human rights and treat them with dignity and respect. This concerns the following topics:

Child and forced labour

Suppliers must not use child or forced labour in any way in the context of their activities, pursuant to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, the Declaration of Human Rights, and International Labour Organisation (ILO) directives.

Discrimination

Suppliers must respect the personal dignity, privacy and rights of each individual employee. They must ensure that their employees are not discriminated against on the basis of personal criteria such as origin, sex, skin colour, nationality, sexual orientation, age, political or religious opinions, or health.

Working hours, salaries and benefits

Working hours must comply with current regulations. Employees’ remuneration must comply with remuneration laws applicable in said country and must ensure an adequate standard of living. Suppliers must pay their employees fair, competitive compensation and provide benefits.

Health, safety, and hygiene

Suppliers must comply with all applicable local laws and regulations and take the necessary measures regarding health, safety and hygiene in the workplace in order to prevent possible risks of accidents or occupational illnesses.

< br />Harassment & violence

Suppliers must take steps to enable their employees to work in an environment where abusive and inhumane treatment, sexual harassment and abuse, corporal punishment or torture, as well as moral and physical harassment or verbal
violence

are prohibited.

Respect for the environment

STOCKMEIERFrance is committed to the “Responsible Care®” programme, a voluntary initiative for ethical, responsible activities and products management, to promote continuous improvement and achieve excellence in the areas of the environment, health and safety.
STOCKMEIER France expects its suppliers to abide by the principles of this programme, in particular:

Respect for the environment

Suppliers must comply with international standards and applicable local environmental laws and regulations. Stockmeier France requests its suppliers take necessary measures to prevent, assess, mitigate and avoid all risks and impacts from their activities on the environment.

 


Products and services’ quality and safety

Suppliers must ensure the products and services they provide meet all applicable quality and safety standards. Their products and/or services must not contain any substances prohibited by laws and/or regulations applicable in the countries where they operate and/or representing an unacceptable risk to health or the environment.
If requested to, suppliers are to provide MSDS (Safety Data Sheets) featuring the safety information related to the dangerous substances handled.

Intellectual property and information and data security

Protection of intellectual property

Suppliers must comply with applicable national laws and international treaties on intellectual property.

Information and data security

Suppliers must uphold the confidentiality of private information and data.
They must also uphold applicable confidentiality agreements. Likewise, suppliers must take all necessary precautions to secure personal, professional or private data, pursuant to European (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and/or international regulations.

Supplier Commitment

Supplier must read and commit to the fundamental principles set out in Supplier Code of Conduct, and must take all necessary measures to ensure that their behaviour is consistent with the expectations set forth in said Code of Conduct.

Implementation of due diligence process

STOCKMEIER FRANCE reserves the right to audit its suppliers to ensure that they uphold and implement the supplier code of conduct principles.

Pursuant to its assessment process, STOCKMEIER FRANCE measures the overall performance of said suppliers with regard to CSR, and carries out due diligence in relation to curbing corruption and influence peddling.

To manage its supply chain in line with its commitments, STOCKMEIER FRANCE has developed the following tools:

  • Signature of this code of conduct;
  • Establishment of a whistleblower system;
  • Control and monitoring of compliance with vigilance obligations via HIVEO platform;
  • CSR or anti-corruption questionnaires;
  • Supplier audits.

Whistleblower system

To truly implement the principles and values of this Code of Conduct, STOCKMEIER FRANCE encourages transparency.

Our company offers all stakeholders awhistleblower systemto report all code of conduct breaches, significant breaches of human rights and fundamental freedoms or people’s health and safety, as well as environmental impacts.

Notifications must be sent by email to a specific address signalement@stockmeier.fr or by mail to: Whistleblower system representative – STOCKMEIER FRANCE – 3 rue de la Buhotière – 35136 Saint Jacques de la Lande.

No penalty or discriminatory measure must be carried out against suppliers employing this whistleblower system in good faith and with no intention to cause harm.

The system ensures whistleblowers are safeguarded, with regard to their identity confidentiality, persons named in the notification, and confidentiality of notification-related documents.
